EcoSolar is a division of EcoGroup, created to offer commercial solar panel installation services across the UK. Focused on bespoke planning and long-term sustainability, EcoSolar provides full-service support including pre-installation advice, solar panel and battery installations, and ongoing maintenance.

Their customers range from small businesses to large industrial operations, all looking to reduce carbon output and energy costs. By offering tailored solutions for rooftops or ground-mount systems, EcoSolar puts clean energy into practical use – helping industries reduce bills while working toward net-zero targets.

Challenge

When EcoSolar was first launched, there was no existing online presence for solar-related services under the EcoGroup umbrella. The business needed more than a listing on the main group site – they needed a dedicated space to explain their offering, demonstrate their credibility, and grow their authority in a competitive and fast-evolving sector.

WTBI worked with EcoGroup to create a clean, standalone landing page for EcoSolar that could serve as the foundation for future growth. From the start, our aim was to keep the site focused, clear and designed around the customer journey.

Consistent SEO-focused content was written to build authority – We developed a content strategy that educates, informs, and improves search performance, with monthly industry articles and case studies aligned to commercial search intent.

Ongoing support ensures EcoSolar stays active and relevant – Rather than using the built-in admin tools, EcoGroup continues to rely on our support to maintain content and performance, ensuring everything is kept up-to-date and on-brand.

Results & Impact

Since launching EcoSolar, the division has become one of EcoGroup’s most successful and profitable services. What started as a simple landing page has grown into a highly active microsite, with the addition of tailored news articles and detailed case studies helping to establish authority and drive traffic. Between January 2024 and July 2025, direct searches for EcoSolar rose by 55%, showing that brand awareness and word-of-mouth recognition have increased significantly.

Most notably, organic search traffic grew by an impressive 319%, thanks to a consistent SEO strategy and regular publishing of relevant, informative content. While an admin area exists for internal updates, EcoGroup has opted to continue working with WTBI to manage the site through a support package, helping ensure content remains fresh, accurate, and aligned with current industry trends. As a result, EcoSolar’s presence continues to grow in both visibility and credibility — cementing its position within the renewables sector.
