Feeding Food For Thought’s marketing goals
Food for Thought is a Wellingborough based eco-conscious store centred on sustainable, zero-waste shopping. It offers a wide range of organic and vegan products, including pantry essentials, personal care items, and cleaning supplies, all available for refill. Customers bring their own containers, helping to minimise plastic use.
Beyond being a retail shop, Food for Thought actively promotes community involvement, collaborating on local recycling and environmental initiatives. Additionally, they host educational workshops, fostering community awareness around sustainable practices and lifestyle choices.
Food For Thought were looking to increase local exposure for the store and improve the volume of traffic coming to the website. This would need to be achieved by improving the SEO and content across the website, creating monthly social media campaigns and activating the existing newsletter subscribers. The website is built on the popular Shopify platform so technical amends were not required, but a simple design refresh was undertaken and a restructuring of the home page content to include more product based UX components to encourage visitors on to the product purchase journey.
To support additional marketing needs, several initiatives were planned. First, a leaflet distribution in Wellingborough town centre aimed to raise local awareness. Next, a series of repeatable social posts highlighted weekly store promotions, complemented by monthly campaigns that showcased core offerings, such as gift boxes, Christmas puddings, and charity projects like bra collections. An increase in promotional emails was also implemented to align with these campaigns and ensure consistent messaging and engagement throughout.
